Lovely Blackthorn Cottage, with gorgeous panoramic views of our beautiful County Down coastline, will sleep 6-8 people very comfortably, making it the perfect base for a group of family or friends wishing to explore this wonderful part of the world. Spacious and cosy, it is well – equipped with everything you would need for a short break – or longer stay. 500 metres off the main road, it provides peace and quite yet is close to National Trust properties, Game of Thrones locations, historical sites, lovely beaches, wonderful restaurants serving local delicacies, as well as world class golf, fishing, walking and water sports.
The cottage has a double room with en-suite and a family suite consisting of a double room on the ground floor with adjacent bathroom and three single beds in a loft room upstairs. The kitchen/sitting room is large and spacious and, when a number of cottages are let to the one group, provides an ideal venue for all to get together of meals or socialising. It opens out through double doors to a patio area which, in good weather, can further extend the size of the meeting area. As with our other cottages it is equipped with a wood burning stove – which provides a great focal point on the evenings when you just want to curl up in front of a warm fire.
